The Life of Henry V - Audition Details

Our Auditions have been set for December 4th 2010 at 2pm. We will be holding the Auditions in the meeting room of Birkenhead Central Library [Map/Directions]. Anyone and Everyone is welcome to come along and audition.

If you are unable to make the audition but would like to read for a part please contact Martin at: 07955994652 or Martin@writers-forum.co.uk

Here are a few tips to help at the audition.

  • We shall be asking you to read two of the scenes below depending on what part(s) you are auditioning for. We do not expect you know know the pieces off by heart, but we would appreciate a basic knowledge of the script/audition scenes.
  • Even if you do not think you are the right age for a part please audition anyway. We aren't too concerned with age. In most circumstances the ages are unimportant.
  • If you are unsure of what a word means, ask us. We won't hold it against you.
  • Try to read the edited script before the audition. Reading the script will give you a good idea of the story and help you decide how to play the characters in the auditions. (If you don't have time try and Google "Henry V Spark Notes", the Spark Notes for the play are fairly good and concise!)
  • This may or may not be possible, but try to show us how you would play to and with the audience. In our production we are very keen to make the audience a central part of the Production and make them feel as involved as possible.
  • Relax and Have Fun. Easier said than done, but try anyway!
